Georgetown Community Association, Inc.
P.O. Box 4, Georgetown, CT 06829 (203)544-8500

The Georgetown Community Association (GCA) was founded in 1934 to promote, preserve and improve the best historical, residential and commercial character of the Georgetown area of Fairfield County, CT.To this end, the GCA shall engage in cultural, literary, benevolent and charitable purposes.

In keeping with this mission, GCA has participated in projects such as:  the reconstruction of the WWI Veterans Memorial Park, the restoration of the Batterson & Osborne Cemeteries, the rededication of Boundary Rock and protecting the use of the Gilbert & Bennett School, and many other charitable and social activities.

The future of Georgetown as a community is about to make a very dramatic change.  The Gilbert & Bennett Mill is being transformed into a new village  - including the return of the train station, the addition of a library and theatre, shops and new housing.  As the plans for this new development go forward, it is important that the membership of GCA keep informed and participate in the decisions that affect our community.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM at the G&B School. Becoming a member of the Georgetown Community Association will help set in motion some specific projects and direction that will help to shape the future of the Georgetown village.

Your support will help assure that your voice is heard as our community enters this new era of development in century 21.  There are many new social gatherings planned for this coming year where you can meet and greet your neighbors.  See you soon and make a difference to our village.
