GVRI’s Vision, Mission & Strategy

Our Vision

Georgetown Village Restoration, Inc. (GVR) strives to restore community connectedness and collaboration within the historic village of Georgetown, Connecticut, an area shared by Redding, Weston, Wilton, and Ridgefield.

Our Mission

Our mission is to celebrate the past, support and promote the community’s businesses and residents, and facilitate the continued revitalization of the Historic Village of Georgetown, Connecticut.

Our five fundamental principles reflect who we are and what we believe in: partnership and collaboration, investment, community, social responsibility, and education and preservation.

Our Values

Our Focus

We focus on three areas to support Georgetown:

  • Our local economy: we aim to support local businesses by promoting and advocating for the interests of business owners

  • Our community: we seek to maintain and improve community cohesion, social capital, and neighborly good will.

  • Our streetscape: we strive to maintain and better the beauty and walkability of the historic village of Georgetown.

Meet the Board

Ralph Bosch, President
Ralph owns commercial buildings and Auburn Landing Builders in Georgetown. He helped found GVR in 1990 and is our community’s mainstay leader ever since, bringing knowledge and levity to all our proceedings. Keep an eye out for him at our annual Georgetown Day — he’ll buy you a beer!
Lisa Devine, Vice President
Lisa is a Georgetown resident on the Weston side and a teacher in the community. She is a driver of positive change and thoughtful initiatives and makes a mean presentation that perfectly convey our ideas.
Nic Palazzo, Treasurer
Nic lives in Georgetown and owns Palazzo Landscaping, a well-oiled landscaping company that beautifies many properties in our community. He grew up attending Georgetown Day with his dad John and is greatly invested in our village and annual celebration.
Kate Perry, Secretary
Kate owns Little Meadow Farm on the Redding-side outskirts of Georgetown and loves our little village as the fun, remarkable place it is. She offers a stubborn adherence to action steps and tries her hardest to get correspondence out in due time.
Robert Clark
Bob brings his experience of working in the community and the Georgetown Lions Club to GVR.
Heidi Holzer
Heidi is the owner of Georgetown-based Heidi Holder Designs and Decorative Work and Trowel & Paper, both based in the Gilbert & Bennett School. She is a longtime Georgetown resident who is instrumental in coordinating the Georgetown Holiday Parade.
Christina Mattinson
Christina owns the wonderful Old Mill Market & Cafe in Georgetown and spearheads several of our initiatives, including traffic safety. Georgetown is lucky to have the smell of her delicious baked goods fill the air!
Mike Nostin
Mike is a longtime Georgetown resident and property owner and steers several very involved local community organizations, including the Georgetown Lions Club.
Jackie Stauffer
Although relatively new to the area, Jackie hit the ground running and has been an essential part in executing the completion of the new signage in Georgetown. She’s the founder and CEO of The Sprout Collective and brings expertise in strategic planning, marketing, and project follow-through.
Justine Tassitano
Justine is a Georgetown original who grew up right near Main Street. She’s been involved in Georgetown Day for years now, making it the very fun and very organized event that it is. We talked her into joining the board and are grateful for her humor, wisdom, and willingness to dig in on projects.
Emily Winsor
Emily brings commitment and dedication to Georgetown Day, where she leads the charge on sponsorships and has grown the event’s financial backers’ support to higher than ever before. She also brings reason and measured opinions to our GVR work and for that we are thankful.
